The Ask
The creators of the Dead by Daylight Franchise reached out to their player base of 50 million on Reddit and asked them what type of game they would like next. Their response was clear. As fans of ‘I Love You Colonel Sanders’ Psyop were approached to bring this fan-driven dream to life. Psyop was asked to create a game that takes these well-known characters and builds a multiverse world that brings them to life with stories and visuals that their fans have never seen before
The Goal
To creatively reinvent the Dead by Daylight franchise through an interactive storytelling game that leverages narrative branching mechanics to allow the player to author their own journey that resonates with a diverse and vocal community, increases their engagement with the franchise, and builds affinity to a new one.
The Deliverable
A single-player game featuring multiple endings, 4-5 hours of gameplay per playthrough set in the Dead by Daylight universe, delivered on PC Steam and mobile on IOS & Android in 12 different languages.
